The inquiry

Can a coherent worldview connect scientific knowledge with human values?

Modern science has developed powerful methods for explaining the physical world. Yet its knowledge is often divided across specialised disciplines—physics, biology, psychology, sociology, environmental science and philosophy.

Unified Theory Research asks whether Madhyasth Darshan can offer a comprehensive basis for understanding the relationships between these domains. The aim is not to replace scientific methods, but to study, compare, document and test conceptual relationships.

Science, unified theory and existential inquiry

Balmukund Meena is a devoted learner of science and the laws of existence. His journey from IIT to deeper existential inquiry led him to Coexistentialism and Madhyasth Darshan, which answered many of his questions about science, human relationships and systems.

He now works to reinterpret contemporary scientific theories, including unified theory, through the lens of Coexistentialism. As a research member of SHAPE, he contributes to solutions for global challenges while also applying the principles of harmony and understanding in family life with his wife, Vidhii.

A shared foundation

Existence, studied as coexistence.

01

Matter

Space, units, formation and the material order.

02

Life

Plant, bio and animal orders within nature.

03

Consciousness

Knowledge, development and human purpose.

04

Coexistence

Relationships, organisation and harmony in nature.

Rooted in Madhyasth Darshan, as propounded by Shri A. Nagraj, the project examines units in nature, their relationships, organisation and participation within a larger order.

Research architecture

Three phases.
One evolving framework.

From philosophical clarity to comparative science and practical application.

01

Foundational study

Build conceptual clarity

Study the central propositions of Madhyasth Darshan, establish internal consistency and form the preliminary research questions.

02

Comparative review

Meet contemporary science

Review physics, cosmology, environmental systems, biological organisation, cognitive science and philosophy of science.

03

Application

Address lived challenges

Explore applications in climate, consumption, social inequality, conflict, education and sustainable community development.

An interdisciplinary research project exploring conceptual connections between Madhyasth Darshan and contemporary physical, ecological and human sciences.

Is it trying to replace scientific methods?

No. The work compares, documents and tests relationships between frameworks while preserving empirical scientific inquiry.

Who leads the project?

Mr. Balmukund Meena leads the initiative, which began in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in March 2023.

What publications are planned?

A four-volume series spanning foundational concepts, a detailed theoretical framework, educational application and solutions for global challenges.
